An Outstanding Season for Riverside's XC Team

The Riverside cross country team completed an outstanding season last week running in the state meet in Carrollton, GA. Hamdy Ismail finished 20^th out of 206 runners with a time of 18:06. Hamdy improved 76 positions from his last state tournament meet! Robert Baum also had a strong showing by placing 44^th. RMA finished 13^th out of 30 teams. To put this in perspective, at a minimum it is equivalent to reaching the 2^nd round of the state playoffs in traditional team sports. The boys improved upon their region performance finishing with the 2^nd best time of all our region opponents. Only Banks county had a higher finish.
