Get a first-hand look at the excitement of student life, tour our campus and facilities, and imagine the possibilities. We look forward to meeting you and helping you determine if Riverside is the right fit for your son and your family. Riverside Open House events are a half-day experience includes a guided tour of our beautiful 206-acre campus followed by a Parent Question and Answer Session. Prospective students will have the opportunity to meet with current cadets as well as attend a separate information session. A school fair will be open so you can speak to faculty and athletic coaches.

Coffee and Conversation

Join us for a special on-campus event — Coffee and Conversation —on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. It's your chance to meet and talk with President Britt Daniel and tour our beautiful campus. You'll also meet some of our outstanding students. The Admissions team will be available to any your questions.

It's a great opportunity to see what a Riverside education can mean for your son.

Attendees will receive a credit toward 2016-2027 tuition.

Eagle for a Day

Join us for a shadow experience that will show, first-hand, what life is like at Riverside. We produce leaders of character prepared for success in college and beyond through the provision of a rigorous academic program, leadership opportunities, competitive athletics and the structure and discipline inherent in a preparatory school using the modified military model of leadership development.

One of our current students will be the guide for this exceptional dive into the culture of our academy. They will spend part of the day together in classes, eat lunch in the dining hall, and have an opportunity to see the academy in action. The Riverside experience is a unique and exciting challenge, but what’s far more exciting are the rewards that come from accepting it.

The last day for Eagle for a Day will be on May 7. After May 7, Eagle for a Day will be closed until the new school year starts.

Private Tours

An Admissions representative is available to help you experience Riverside through a private campus tour. During a campus tour, you will see our facilities, meet faculty and staff, and get a feel for cadet camaraderie and a nurturing environment. Virtual Tours

There's no better way to experience Riverside than to visit the campus, but a physical visit isn't always feasible. Taking a guided virtual tour with cadets is another way to get a feel for our beautiful campus as well as the cadet experience.

What is the difference between an Open House and a Private Tour?

At an open house, you will hear from the President and other senior staff, tour the campus, and meet cadets, coaches, and department heads as available. It is a great overview, but given the large numbers of attendees, we may not have the ability to drill down to specific questions about your family’s unique needs. An individualized campus tour is much more personal to your individual needs because it is just your family and your admissions counselor.
When are private tours offered and how long do they last?

Typically, we offer private tours on Mondays and group tours on Fridays. On average, a tour lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Wear comfortable shoes as we will be walking throughout campus and talking about the program as we go. Applications are strongly encouraged in order to participate in a private tour, or you can participate in a group tour with no application.
When are Eagle for a Days offered and how long does it last?

We offer Eagle for a Day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Morning Sessions are from 8:50 a.m.-12:20 p.m. and Afternoon Sessions are from Noon-3:45 p.m. If you would like a tour while your son is attending the Eagle for a Day program, please let us know so we can plan accordingly.
Does Riverside travel to meet families?

Yes, the admissions staff travels regularly to host Riverside Meetups in cities/states where we have a lot of prospective and current families. These events are free, informal, and informative ways to extend campus to you and to provide a forum to ask questions of local Riverside families and staff. Riverside admissions staff members also frequently travel to international locations for recruitment purposes.
