Cross Country Heads to State Meet
Cross Country: Riverside Academy Takes Third at Region 8-2A Championship, Qualifies for State Meet in Carrollton.
On Wednesday, Riverside Academy's Hamdy Ismail took fourth place, with a time of 18 minutes, as it took third in team standings at the Region 8-2A championship race in Helen.
Also for the Eagles, Christopher Jakes finished sixth overall with a time of 18:51.
Up next, the state championship race for Class 2A is Nov. 5 in Carrollton.
