John “Jack” Paul Jones - 1938

His family founded The Daily News in Memphis. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and the University of Virginia law school. Jones is the namesake of the John Paul Jones Arena, a 15,000-seat special events center on the UVA campus.  Home to UVA basketball, the arena is simply known as “the Jack.”
