J. Jette Campbell - 1965

Campbell’s education includes an undergraduate degree in business from Auburn University and post-graduate study at Auburn and Harvard Business. 
Following graduation from Riverside, Campbell completed an undergraduate degree in Business fro Auburn University, served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1969 through 1975, then completed post-graduate study at Auburn and Harvard Business. He is a CPA and began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Houston, Texas. During a 17 year span he was Partner in both Arthur Andersen & Co. and KPMG Peat Marwick. He led engagements in banking, manufacturing, high technology, food and beverage, education, and real estate development. His extensive career includes serving as an executive at several large multi-national firms including CFO of the Northern European Snack Foods Division of PepsiCo, Vice President and Controller of Frito Lay, as well as CFO and Head of Corporate Development of Griffin, LLC., a DuPont agricultural chemical joint venture.
After the sale of Griffin to DuPont in 2003, he joined Carl Marks Advisors where he is a partner in its corporate restructuring group based in Charlotte, NC. Campbell is a highly regarded advisor to lenders and business owners in the areas of financial restructuring, business strategy, and crisis management. He brings passion, creativity, deep expertise, and smart, innovative solutions to his clients, and has more than 40 years of experience as an advisor and operating executive working with lenders, company owners and management teams, boards of directors, private equity groups, and investors.

Campbell has a long history of working with educational institutions, both personally and professionally. In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees of Riverside Preparatory Academy, he has served as a Trustee of St. Edwards University, Stetson University’s School of Music, and Paul Quinn College from which he received an Honorary Doctorate for his leadership as Chairman of the Executive Committee. He has served as an Arts Commissioner for the City of Austin, Chaired Leadership Austin, and is a lifetime Boy Scout having achieved Eagle Scout as a youth, served as a Scoutmaster and Council President as an adult, and is a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. 

He was appointed to the Riverside Military Academy Board of Trustees in 2018 and elected as Chairman in September of 2024.
