He has competed, coached, and judged gymnastics at multiple levels. He has published articles on various subjects. He is the recipient of several awards including the College Athletic Hall of Fame, Eastern Judges Hall of Fame, multiple awards for service and dedication, and the College of Gymnastics Association service award was renamed the “Richard Aronson Service Award”.
