Academic Excellence

A challenging curriculum that prepares students for college and beyond.

Riverside Prep offers a dynamic academic program designed to challenge and support students at every level. From foundational core subjects to specialized electives, cadets gain the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to succeed in higher education and future careers.

Advanced learners can take advantage of honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and dual enrollment options, with opportunities to explore fields like engineering, cybersecurity, and the arts. Every student benefits from small class sizes, personalized instruction, and dedicated teachers who get to know each cadet’s strengths, goals, and learning style.

Leadership Development

Learning to lead with character, confidence, and clarity.

Leadership at Riverside isn’t reserved for a select few—it’s a skill that every student develops through hands-on experience. Whether serving as a squad leader within their company or contributing to service projects, cadets are regularly given opportunities to guide others, take initiative, and reflect on their impact.

Our structured “Learn to Lead” approach includes mentorship from trained TAC Officers, peer leadership roles, and participation in Army Junior ROTC. Through these experiences, students grow into self-aware, confident leaders with a strong moral compass and the ability to work well with others.

Extracurricular Activities & Athletics

Discover passions. Build teamwork. Stay active.

Life at Riverside goes well beyond the classroom. Our cadets participate in a wide range of athletics and extracurriculars that help them discover interests, develop resilience, and build strong friendships.

Whether they’re suiting up for a football game, competing in CyberPatriot, playing in the band, or joining student government, students learn valuable lessons in teamwork, creativity, and commitment. With clubs, visual and performing arts, and interscholastic sports across three seasons, there’s something here for every type of student.

Support Services for High School Students

Every cadet is supported—academically, emotionally, and personally.

At Riverside, support isn’t just an added service—it’s a cornerstone of the cadet experience. Each student is guided by a team of adults who know him well: teachers, advisors, coaches, counselors, and especially TAC Officers, who serve as daily mentors and advocates.

Academic support includes tutoring, study hall, test prep, and time management coaching. Emotional wellness is nurtured through on-campus counseling and a strong emphasis on personal growth. From the first day of 9th grade to senior year graduation, we ensure no cadet walks this journey alone.

Community Service

Building purpose through service and connection.

Riverside’s tight-knit community is rooted in respect, trust, and service to others. Every cadet is part of something larger than himself—whether it’s his company, a team, or a service initiative.

Service learning is built into the high school experience, with cadets participating in projects that benefit the local community and beyond. Through these acts, students gain a deeper sense of empathy, citizenship, and social responsibility—essential traits for tomorrow’s leaders.

Student Voices

Real stories. Real impact.

“I came when I was 12, and throughout the years, it was sometimes kind of a drag. It hurt sometimes. That’s part of it, though. But looking back, I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I’m leaving with lifelong friends, a future, and the kind of discipline you can’t learn anywhere else.”

— Caleb Baker, Class of 2024

Across campus, you’ll hear stories just like Caleb’s—of students who came here unsure of themselves and left with confidence, direction, and a deep sense of who they are.
