Frederick J. Kennedy - 1964
Noted for his military service which began with graduation from The Citadel and service in the U.S. Army as an infantry and Special Forces officer earning the Bronze Star for Valor.
He retired as a lieutenant colonel. Kennedy was instrumental in the establishment of the North Carolina Leadership Academy in 2013 where he currently serves as chairman of the board of directors. His civic involvement includes service on the RMA Board of Trustees, including past chairman. He was named RMA Distinguished Alumnus in 2005.
